Za & Klo torréfactrices is a Montreal-based, women-owned roasting company. The name itself, torréfactrices, is the feminine form of roaster, which highlights our identity and approach.

Our focus is on providing carefully sourced green coffees, chosen with intention and transparency. Each week, our team comes together for cuppings, and every coffee is evaluated collectively before it earns a place on our menu. While we appreciate balance and versatility, we also love to highlight more funky, experimental tasting notes.

We are rooted in curiosity, creativity, and play, while maintaining a commitment to specialty quality. We value the producers we work with and building sustainable, respectful relationships within coffee communities, and outside of it.

Our team are lovers of Art, Literature, Philosophy, Music, History, and contemporary culture. Many of our choices are inspired by these interests! We would love for our coffee to not only be an extremely pleasurable moment of our day, but also a space to open up dialogues surrounding such topics.
